Prime Minister Andy Burnham is to give regional mayors powers to 'call in' major planning decisions, potentially bringing them into conflict with councils.

Prime Minister Andy Burnham is to give regional mayors powers to 'call in' major planning decisions, potentially bringing them into conflict with councils.

The move is part of the Government's effort to push forward economic growth and deliver 1.5m new homes in this parliament.
