A new electronic system for tendering aims to make it easier for local authorities to bid for work. The Coventry, Solihull, Warwickshire joint e-tendering system called CSW JETS allows businesses to view opportunities from all participating authorities.

The system sets-up a register for work of a particular type and informs the user when suitable opportunities arise. Cllr Alan Cockburn, Warwickshire CC portfolio holder for sustainable communities, said: 'The new system will enable a business to log in once to access opportunities from all participating authorities with a potential total value of over £500m.'
