Local government minister Angela Smith has met with health ministers to resolve local government's problems with cost-shunting. Ms Smith Revealed she has met with ministers Ivan Lewis and Rosie Winterton to – and Mr Lewis has put the issue at the top of his agenda. ‘It's an issue that I don't think the White Paper can solve,' she said. ‘There has got to be a resolution about how we deal with elderly care. We can't shunt the costs, to use the metaphor, from one cocoa tin to another cocoa tin.'
