A special meeting has been held by Moray councillors to consider criticisms levelled against its public services by Audit Scotland. The council agreed to work with other public agencies to identify a clear set of priorities which respond to the needs of the community in both the short and long term, and operate in a manner that drives continuous improvements in all services. Among other items in its recent report, Audit Scotland hit out at the standard of performance monitoring and the lack of a culture of continuous improvement at the council.
