Haringey LBC has won a top prize in the British Parking Awards for a joined-up approach to dealing with abandoned cars. The council was commended for removing abandoned and illegally-parked cars, and running a service to take away untaxed vehicles. Greater Access Bexley LBC has scored top marks for e-planning services, matching all 21 checkpoints on a government checklist. The council launched an e-planning service last year called Public Access, and residents can now view planning applications and submit comments online.
