Local government contractor Mouchel is back in profit after a turbulent year, according to its latest set of financial results.

The group made pre-tax profits of £7.5m in the six months to 31 March, compared with an unspecified operating loss the year before. 'The operational restructuring, which has been undertaken over the last 12 months was brought to a conclusion at the end of March and the group is delivering on its strategic objectives,' said chairman, David Shearer.
