Auditor PricewaterhouseCoopers has backed Bath and North East Somerset Council’s decision to sack Mowlem last year from the Bath Spa project. The council ordered workers off the site in April 2005 following a lengthy dispute between Mowlem and the local authority, which has still not yet been resolved. A review into the project by PricewaterhouseCoopers said the council was right to refuse a £26m deal from Mowlem to fix the project. The spa is expected to be opened on 7 August.
