A survey across all Conservative Councillors in England has found that 98.4% are White, 88.2% non-disabled & 71% are male.43.3% come from a managerial / executive background, 82.2% come from a private sector background, 75.8% are over 55, 50.5% are retired & 51.9% are educated to NVQ 4 or degree level.67% of Conservative Councillors hold one or more positions of leading responsibility & only 57.8% receive an allowance in recognitioon of that responsibility.I should look up the stats for Labour & Liberal Councillors, it would make an interesting comparrison, but I doubt that there will be too many surprises.
