The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has announced the 43 places that will be part of the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme (NNHIP). The selected sites will be supported to accelerate work already planned or under way in many parts of the country, including sharing learning, tackling challenges and delivering improvement.

With 80% of places in England applying for the first phase of the programme, the breadth and scale of the Government's ambition is captured in the DHSC's press release: ‘Neighbourhood health will benefit patients by providing end-to-end care and tailored support, looking beyond the condition at wider causes of health issues, helping to avoid unnecessary trips to hospital, prevent complications and avoid the frustration of being passed around the system.'
