NHS staff to receive 1% pay rise this year

NHS Agenda for Change staff across the UK are to receive a 1% pay rise in 2016/17 after the Department of Health accepted the recommendations this month from the NHS Pay Review Body (PRB).

NHS Agenda for Change staff across the UK are to receive a 1% pay rise in 2016/17 after the Department of Health accepted the recommendations this month from the NHS Pay Review Body (PRB).

In its report, the PRB said that the gap between private and public sector pay levels was narrowing and that the former would soon overtake the latter leading to staff shortages in the NHS, as seen already through the soaring use of agency staff.
