North Somerset Council last night took the first formal step in exploring membership of its ‘preferred devolution partner’ – the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

North Somerset Council last night took the first formal step in exploring membership of its ‘preferred devolution partner' – the West of England Combined Authority (WECA).

WECA mayor Helen Godwin welcomed the move, adding: ‘Together, we can secure more investment, get our region moving, and make a real difference that communities can see and feel.'
