Local authorities in the north west could save up to £35M a year by standardising contracts, price quality and working arrangements with other councils. According to we research by the North West Centre for Excellence which has highlighted widespread variations in the cost of adult placement services. Regional director Colin Cram said: ‘Our target is to help councils in the make efficiencies of £350m over the next 10 years – 10% has been identified in this analysis.'
