Milton Keynes Council has been criticised by the Local Government Ombudsman for failing to deal properly with complaints of neighbour nuisance. Ombudsman Tony Redmond found the council guilty of maladministration causing injustice, and recommended the authority pay £3,500 compensation to a tenant with cystic fibrosis who had suffered abuse from his neighbour and been forced to wait two years before he was moved to a new home.
