Education watchdog Ofsted has unveiled plans to change the way Sure Start children’s centres are inspected.

Education watchdog Ofsted has unveiled plans to change the way Sure Start children's centres are inspected.

The plans – put out to consultation until 11 January 2013 – take into account how councils group centres together by area, with proposals to deliver simultaneous inspections for groups of centres, creating a single report where centres share leadership. Reports will also focus more on how well centres provide support to families most in need.
