Oldham MBC has launched a £300m joint venture with Mouchael Parkman and HBS, called the unity partnership. The 12-year, strategic partnership aims to help the council transform its services and boost Oldham's local economy. The partnership will provide property, highways and customer services, and will also offer coaching and mentoring to local schools and colleges. ICT services will be provided by Agilisys. ‘This is an innovative and forward-looking partnership,' said unity's interim managing director, Bob Hogg. ‘We value the skills and experience of all the staff who are joining the partnership, and we are looking forward to working together to bring a fresh perspective to council services for the benefit of all the people of the borough.' And Oldham MBC's deputy chief executive, Mike Chambers, added: ‘The council's vision of a prosperous and thriving Oldham is one step closer with the unity partnership. ‘Together, our aim will be achieved more quickly and effectively. It will free-up the council's resources and allow us to concentrate on our main priority – improving living standards for the community.'
