Councils are set to benefit from a new, £40m fund that will use the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games to promote the arts and sport to young people and communities. Legacy Trust UK will support cultural, artistic, educational and sporting activities across the country. Its board will be chaired by Dugald Mackie, and funding decisions will be taken at local and regional levels.
