Kent CC and Dover DC have welcomed a £77m boost to the local economy, which came from this year's British golf Open Championship.

The sporting event, which took place at Royal St George's Golf Club in Sandwich, and was won by the popular Northern Irishman Darren Clarke ,helped benefit the regional economy and attracted 180,000 spectators.
