Operations Manager - Streetscene Services

OPERATIONS MANAGER - STREETSCENE SERVICES

Employer: Fareham Borough Council

Salary: £35,356 – £39,297 pa plus essential user car allowance.

Closing Date: 29 September, 2011.

Reporting to the Head of Streetscene, you will be responsible for delivering the grounds maintenance and street cleansing service throughout the Borough, playing a key role in ensuring the provision of high quality, cost effective services to our customers.

You will need:

* To understand that the needs of our customers should come first
* Previous experience at a senior level in the management and operation of grounds maintenance and/or street cleansing services including budgetary control, procurement, people and performance management
* The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst contributing positively to team performance
* Well developed Interpersonal, organisational, ICT and written communication skills
* Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety/Risk Management principles and practices
* Driving licence and access to a car or other satisfactory means of mobility
* Occasional evening and weekend working required
