Local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) have been left frustrated after chancellor George Osborne refused their calls for greater certainty over future funding.

In a letter to the LEP Network, seen by The MJ, Mr Osborne said he would only be able to confirm indicative allocations for 2016/17 core and Growth Deal funding until after the conclusion of the Spending Review on 25 November.
