Oxfordshire CC - Deputy Director - Strategy & Infrastructure Planning

Oxfordshire CC - Deputy Director - Strategy & Infrastructure Planning

Opportunities like this are rare

At Oxfordshire County Council, we're looking to recruit an exceptional leader as Deputy Director Strategy & Infrastructure Planning to drive our growth agenda and ambitions for a Thriving Oxfordshire.

Your role will be to develop this agenda; to capitalise on future opportunities that will allow us to further prosper socially and economically; as well as to ensure that our day-to-day business is delivered well.

You will work with a wide range of partners to bring about emphatic change for the good – ensuring that Oxfordshire maximises the opportunities to secure monies from existing and new funding streams.

This is a high profile role, so you'll need to be a strategic thinker, of a persuasive and politically-astute nature, with excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills. Underpinning this will be your strategic planning, transport and infrastructure planning expertise and the ability to harness working relationships to maximise results.

An understanding of local public sector bodies will also be essential, as will your leadership skills within the public sector.
