Residents should have greater opportunities to save local pubs and other community assets, the House of Commons communities and local government committee has urged.

A report issued by the panel of MPs on 3 February calls on the Government to reinforce four of its community rights and give local people a greater say on the construction of housing and amenities, the delivery of public services and reclamation of land for public use.
