Oxford City and Oxfordshire County councils are joining forces to pilot parish-style plans in two of its more urban areas. For the past five years, rural communities in the county have been encouraged to develop their own community plans with the county council and the city council's areas committees. Now, residents in Cowley and West Oxford are being asked to create their own plans as part of a £58,000 year-long project. If successful, it could be rolled out across the region.
