The public sector could save £5.5bn each year through more effect project partnering for building contracts, according to city lawyer, Trowers and Hamlins LLP.

The legal firm has recommended partnering with firms over longer periods of time to spread the costs, and breaking down projects into pre-construction and construction phases.
