Effective, risk-based procurement has been confirmed as a key priority for infrastructure projects, according to Infrastructure UK's (IUK) cost review, The MJ can exclusively reveal.

Alan Couzens, programme director for the infrastructure cost review, said: ‘It is encouraging the debate has moved far beyond the starting point of whether it is more or less expensive to build infrastructure in the UK. The challenges are now centred around what we can do collectively to make the changes which will support efficiency and industry growth.'
