The Conservative Party is planning to return to Manchester for its 2013 and 2015 conferences, after more than 13,000 delegates and visitors attended this year's annual event.
Labour is also planning to return to the city, and has booked its places for 2012 and 2014, with conference sector business worth some £600m a year to the local economy. Sir Richard Leese, leader of Manchester City Council, said: ‘We're firmly established as a major destination for both main parties.'
