PCS staff plan walkout on Budget day

Members of the PCS trade union have voted to take part in a three-month campaign of industrial action, which starts with a mass walkout timed to coincide with Budget day on 20 March.

Members of the Public and Commercial Services (PCS) trade union have voted to take part in a three-month campaign of industrial action, which starts with a mass walkout timed to coincide with Budget day on 20 March.

Complaints over pay, pensions and working conditions form the basis of the industrial action, which was approved by 61% of members on a 28% turnout of a total membership of almost 250,000 civil servants.
