Bracknell Forest Council has condemned a consultation exercise about merging three primary care trusts (PCT) as a ‘complete charade'. Cllr ~Dale Birch~ chairman of the health scrutiny committee, said residents were not given any real choice over plans to create a single PCT for the whole of East Berkshire. ‘There was never an option to retain the status quo, and the whole consultation has been a complete charade, as far as I can see.'
