Chairman of the ~Local Government Association~ and Tory former leader of Kent CC, Sir ~Sandy Bruce-Lockhart~ is to become a working peer. Sir Sandy, who was put forward for the honour by former Tory leader ~Michael Howard~ said he was ‘delighted' with his new national opportunity. ‘I will serve to the best of my ability, whatever way the House of Lords develops, and work to promote the interests of Kent and the values that so many of us share,' he said.
