Pegging council tax 'is welcome relief' says TPA

The TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA), has responded to news that 95% of councils plan to accept council tax freeze plans.

Small-government campaign group, the TaxPayers' Alliance (TPA), has responded to news that 95% of councils plan to accept the government-funded council tax freeze, saying it would provide ‘welcome relief for hard-pressed residents'.

The comments from TPA's campaign director, Emma Boon, followed a joint survey on council tax by The MJ and the Local Government Information Unit (LGiU), released on 23 February.
