Pension claim 'false'

Local government experts have slammed the Taxpayers' Alliance's (TPA) latest assault on council spending.

The TPA claimed total employer contributions for the Local Government Pension Scheme amounted to £5.175bn in 2010/11 – equivalent to £1 in every £5 of council tax.
