Pensioner jailed A Derby pensioner has been jailed for three months for failing to pay her council tax in protest at the condition of her neighbourhood. Josephine Rooney, 69, of Hartingdon Street, Derby, owes almost £800 in tax but claims she has withheld payment because of anti-social behaviour and the disrepair of properties in her area.
