Elaine McPherson, head of strategy and customer services at Clackmannanshire Council, has been appointed the new chief executive.
She will take up her post on 26 September. She has worked for the council for 19 years, starting as a policy officer and rising to head of service, first in the education service and then at the corporate centre as head of strategy & customer services.
