The chief executive of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Campbell Gemmell, is to step down later this year to take on a new role, in Australia.

The chief executive of the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), Campbell Gemmell, is to step down later this year to take on a new role, in Australia.

Dr Gemmell, who joined SEPA as director of strategic planning in 2001, has been CEO for the past eight years. He is to remain at SEPA until the end of the year, and will take up the post of chief executive of the Environment Protection Authority South Australia, in Adelaide, in the New Year.
