Richard Partington has been recommended by its personnel board to become the Telford and Wrekin’s interim chief executive.

Telford and Wrekin Council has announced that Richard Partington has been recommended by its personnel board to become the authority's interim chief executive.

Mr Partington is currently the council's assistant chief executive. He started his career in local government as an administrative assistant at North Shropshire DC. He then joined Telford and Wrekin in 1991, and was project manager for the creation of Telford and Wrekin Council as a unitary authority between 1996 and 1998.
