Stockport MBC's benefit service is one of only four in the UK to achieve a perfect score from the Government's Benefit Fraud Inspectorate. The service scored 100% in an assessment of how it handled benefit claims and fraud. It followed an ‘excellent' rating for the service by the Department of Work and Pensions at the end of last year.
