Sarah Pickup is poised to become the new president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), following the group's annual meeting on 18 April.
Ms Pickup is currently director of health and community services at Hertfordshire CC, and has previously served as national lead for carers and secretary of ADASS.
