Striking council workers in Huddersfield picketed a bin lorry depot this week, as part of a dispute over cuts to jobs and pay, causing disruption to waste collection services across the region.

The strike involved administrative support staff from Kirklees MBC, who staged a picket at the town's Vine Street depot. Bin collectors were not on strike but refused to cross the picket line.
