Oxfordshire CC is close to reaching an agreement with Thames Valley Police to switch back on the county's speed cameras, just three months after de-activating them.

In August, the county council switched-off all its fixed and mobile speed cameras after cuts to the road safety grant prompted it to withdraw £600,000 from the Thames Valley Road Safety Partnership, which operates the sites.
