Almost three in five local and central government professionals (57%) are planning to switch to work in the private sector in the next five years, according to a survey commissioned by Kelly Global Workforce.
Desire for higher income was the main cause, cited by 26% of those questioned, followed by the need for improved work-life balance (18%) and changing personal interests (17%).
