More and more councils are making use of the Public Works Loan Board (PWLB), research by The MJ and LGiU think-tank has found.

A huge 94% of respondents to this year's annual local government finance survey said their council planned to seek external funding from the PWLB, a figure that has grown since 2015 when 53% said the same.
