Town hall leaders at Wirral MBC have established an ‘appropriate plan of action' to turn around the beleaguered council's fortunes, a Local Government Association (LGA) peer review reported this week.
The LGA's challenge team was invited to assess Wirral earlier this year, after a series of damaging independent reports criticised the Merseyside authority's contracting and corporate governance.
