Planning Manager

Beautiful Copeland, known for its Lakeland Fells, stunning coast line and excellent quality of life hosts one of the most strategically important Local Authorities in the UK with an ambitious and hugely important agenda. We are now looking for two dynamic individuals to join our team.

The Planning Manager will lead the Development Management and Strategic Planning functions, ensuring the services are high performing, responsive and modern.

We have a range of planning challenges: nuclear and energy development pressures, coastal and rural communities, the Gem Town of Whitehaven; and coalfield communities, so life is never dull!

You will be involved in supporting a range of NSIPs as well as ensuring the delivery of the Local Development Framework. What we need is a talented professional who can re-shape the services, and ensure quality outcomes for Copeland.

This is a rewarding, professionally stimulating and challenging time to join us.
