A timetable for rolling out a standard planning application for use across all English planning authorities has been announced. In a bid to make the planning system ‘simpler, faster and easier to use', from October 2007, the National Standard Planning Application Form will become the only official method of submitting a planning application for most types of consent for all local planning authorities.
