Eden DC is set to hold the first-ever referendum on a Neighbourhood Plan – the new system of community-driven planning, under which local residents produce a development plan for their area.
Covering Brough parish, and 16 surrounding parishes in East Cumbria, the neighbourhood plan is the first in the country to be successfully examined under the Localism Act.
