Playing to win among the 39 LEPs

Steve Lamb explains how Thames Valley’s Local Enterprise Partnership went about submitting its bid to win a share of the Government’s £2bn Single Local Growth fund

In response to Lord Heseltine's economic report, Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) were given the authority to make ‘right choices for their local economies' by producing local growth plans.

Having submitted their draft strategic economic plans (SEP) to government in a bid to win a share of the £2bn Single Local Growth Fund, the 39 LEPs are now in competition with each other.
