Poll sparks concerns over viability of pensions

A survey has propmpted questions regarding the long-term viability of public sector pensions have been raised.

Questions regarding the long-term viability of public sector pensions have been raised, after a survey revealed almost one-quarter of respondents could leave the scheme.

The study, undertaken by public sector unions, PCS and Unison, revealed almost 25% of the 10,000 workers surveyed would either definitely, or probably leave the pensions scheme, if the Government forced up contributions.
