In a growing trend for district councils to either merge or scrap the job of chief executive, another district is freezing its top post.
Nuneaton and Bedworth BC has announced it will not be replacing Christine Kerr, who retired last month, after 12 years in the post. The council said it would not be filling the position for at least six months, after which it will review arrangements.
