Newham LBC and the London Legacy Development Corporation have established the E20 Stadium LLP to assume long-term responsibility for the Olympic Stadium in Stratford beyond this summer's games.
Under the plan, the special-purpose vehicle will transform the post-games stadium into a multi-use venue, with around £40m invested to upgrade the site for such use. A 99-year lease has been signed as part of the deal, and the new organisation will target the creation of local jobs and educational facilities linked to the site.
