‘We want to help many more branches to strengthen their role as a community hub, by providing additional services or facilities which help local people,' said Post Office chief executive, Paula Vennells.
Sub-postmasters across England are being encouraged to enter a new competition by the Department for Communities and Local Government to develop new services to benefit the community. Working with local residents, branches can now apply for grants of up to £10,000 for innovative projects, which support small businesses or their local community.
