I am particularly excited about starting 2026, because at the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES), we will be celebrating our 40th birthday.

This milestone offers a moment not just to reflect on the last four decades of local economic policy, but to look forward to what 2026 will bring to all of us interested in economies that can help deliver good lives for people in the communities we call home.
